Our Birchwood Suite is a stand-alone guest cottage that is truly an amazing space. It was envisioned and designed as a replica of our Master Suite. It is every bit of that and just a little more grand.
This beautiful space features a cathedral ceiling, stately furnishings, beautiful wood work, and the same large windows as the Master Suite. The room is equipped with a stunning vintage Pulaski Belissimo bedroom set. There is a seating area with two comfortable barrel chairs in which to relax and enjoy the space and surrounding nature. The bath features a cathedral ceiling and chandelier, a double sink vanity, large whirlpool tub, and large separate shower.
Outside, you will find a spacious private deck, complete with a table and chairs and a panoramic view of the property.
All of the lumber in the Birchwood Suite was milled by us from trees cut from our woodlands (except for the pressure treated deck). The wood floor is made of beautiful black birch planks. The ceilings are 1 x 13 tongue and groove white pine and the dividing walls are varying width white pine. The exterior walls, inside and out, are made of white pine log siding. All of the structural lumber is cut from our hemlock trees.
Like the main B&B property, much of the work was done by us. For the Birchwood suite, we hired a foundation guy and a plumber. That's it. We did everything else. :)
